Description
The distillery in Hawick today announced its first Single Malt Scotch: The Borders Single Malt Scotch Whisky, First Release. It is 8 years old, first matured in first-fill bourbon casks and then finished in Malmsey Madeira casks, bottled at 46 %. Only 10,000 bottles are being produced, priced at £46, and the official release date is 24 September 2026. It is also the first whisky distilled in the Scottish Borders since 1837.
