The Cameronbridge conflict is escalating.
More than 100 employees at Diageo’s Cameronbridge site in Fife are involved in a dispute over planned job cuts. Strike action has now been extended to include coordinated walkouts on October 12, 15, 19 and 22. Cameronbridge is Europe’s largest grain distillery and produces spirit used in, among other brands, Johnnie Walker and J&B. Diageo says the cuts are linked to lower production volumes; the Unite union criticizes both the consultation process and the impact on staffing.
