History
Isperih Whisky comes from Isperih in Bulgaria. Our very first whisky! Now they offer the third release for sale, which only has 2,500 bottles.

• Mash: 100% malted barley

Production
Isperitus is produced with 100% malted barley, distilled in 2021 and aged for 3 years in American oak barrels, heavily charred. Finished in rum barrels. The production is not cold-filtered and without colouring. Several variants exist with finishes in Cognac, Marsala, Sherry and Moscatel casks, as well as a Rye version.

• ISPERITUS Sherry quarter cask finish: 3.5 years + 5 months finish in oloroso sherry quarter casks; 969 bottles; 47% ABV.

• ISPERITUS The Great Escape (Moscatel finish): 3 years + 10 months finish in Moscatel de Setubal cask; 200 L American oak; Batch # 11/2025 – 861 bottles, numbered bottles; 47% ABV.

ISPERITUS Rye Whisky

• ISPERITUS Rye whisky: 3 years + 6 months finish; 259 L Strandja oak; 225 L Mulberry casks; 43% ABV; Limited release of 1650 bottles.

The Great Escape / Black Panther Edition

• The Great Escape: 3 years + 10 months finish in Moscatel wine cask; 861 bottles; 47% ABV; numbered bottles.

General tasting notes

• Aroma: oaky, vanilla, creme brulee for the Rye version; for the other variants notes such as vanilla, ripe fruits, raisins, prunes and tropical fruits are mentioned. Taste: smooth and elegant; finish: long and complex.
