History

Madoc Whisky is created in Dina Huapi in Patagonia, Argentina, where the Andes meet the steppe, and here Madoc single malt whisky is born.

The distillery is a family-owned business founded in 2016 by Pablo Tognetti and his wife Gloria. Pablo, the creator of Argentina's first whisky distillery, ensures that the finest ingredients are blended in perfect balance with tradition and a pursuit of expertise to create this fresh and bold product.

Two copper stills with their swan necks dominate the production facility.

Our team consists of Pablo, who designed the whisky process, the conception of the equipment and supervised the construction. He leads the distillery and works with his children Conrado and Celia in production, while Roger Whewell is responsible for developing the expressions.

For maturation we use American and European oak casks, and for the finish we use casks that have previously held sherry, rum and wine.

Production / Manufacturing

The distillery has been a family business since 2016. The two copper stills with their swan necks dominate the facility. In addition to the distillation itself, the team works on maturation and finishing in different casks to shape the character of our whisky.

Pablo designed the whisky process, equipment and supervised the construction. Pablo leads the distillery, and he and his children Conrado and Celia form the production team; Roger Whewell is in charge of developing the expressions.

Maturation takes place in American and European oak barrels, and for finish we use sherry, rum and wine casks.

We offer guided tours by appointment where visitors learn about our production and maturation processes. The experience includes a tasting of our whiskies.
