Sons of Liberty Spirits Company

History

Sons of Liberty Spirits Company was founded in 2011 in South Kingstown, Rhode Island. The company was inspired by the historical Sons of Liberty, a group of rebels from 1765 who fought for the colonists' rights. Their first whiskey was launched in December 2011, and since then they have been working to revolutionize and redefine American whiskey.

Production

Sons of Liberty uses a unique method where they distill whiskey from beer, which gives them the ability to create complex flavor profiles. They use 100% malted barley and dark malts typically used in stout beer. The whiskey production includes a double distillation and aging in new American oak, resulting in a smooth and complex whiskey.
