History

• 1795: A farmer and mill operator, Jacob Beam, produced the first barrel of whiskey, which later became Jim Beam®.

• 1899: Founder Shinjiro Torii created the first whisky for Japanese tastes and founded the House of Suntory, which later became part of the Suntory Group.

• Suntory Global Spirits is part of the Suntory Group and carries a long tradition of premium spirits for over 200 years and works to be the world's most admired premium spirits company.
