History
The Weidenauer Distillery lies in the Waldviertel region in the southern part of Kottes and is run as a fruit and grain workshop. The region and clean water resources provide favorable conditions for high-quality spirits. The company focuses on oat whiskey and other spirits and has won several awards reflecting the quality of their products. The Weidenauer family runs the business by a principle of as natural as possible and as little technology as necessary.
Production / Manufacturing
The raw materials originate, according to information, primarily from the company's own farm or from the local area, and about 95% of the varieties come from own production or the municipality. An organically grown processing company cleans and malts the grain varieties. Emphasis is placed on craftsmanship rather than machines and on preserving nature in production.
