History
Massenez is an Alsace-based distillery with a proud 150-year history and a family-run tradition in creating eaux-de-vie, crèmes and fruit liqueurs. Since 1870, a Maître Distillateur and a Maître Liquoriste have passed the craft through generations, and Massenez has become an icon in Alsace and among the world's finest bars and restaurants. The 150-year anniversary was celebrated with the participation of chef ambassadors and mixology experts, and today the house is led by Bernard Baud and Elodie Naslin, who continue the heritage with a focus on quality and innovation.
Production / Manufacturing
The core of Massenez is a balance between tradition and innovation. The house's expertise spans eaux-de-vie (fruit brandies), Crèmes and Liqueurs of fruits and products described as 100% French and natural in certain product categories. Golden Eight® is an older pear-based liqueur (Williams pear) with more than 8 years of aging and housed in an iconic pear-shaped bottle. Massenez also explores groundbreaking concepts such as La Baguette® (a bread liqueur) and Liqueur de Roquefort Société®, and they have a strong ecosystem of partnerships with local craftspeople and producers via Accords Frappés.
