History

Waterford Distillery was founded in 2016 by Mark Reynier, a renowned whisky entrepreneur formerly associated with Bruichladdich Distillery. The distillery is located in Waterford, Ireland, and marks a revival of whisky production in the area after 201 years of inactivity.

Production

The distillery employs a radical approach to production, including anaerobic malting, thermoregulated fermentation methods, and slow distillation. Each batch of whiskey is made exclusively from Irish-grown barley from specific farms, ensuring a unique flavor profile and terroir.
