Ardbeg – A Journey Through Time
EndedSo once again, we’ve been exploring some of the more obscure corners of the whisky world and found a few bottles that deserve a little extra attention.
This time, together with Dennis Olsen, we’ve uncovered something quite special: Ardbeg from three different eras.
How has Ardbeg evolved over the past 20-plus years? And how do the early releases taste compared with the ones we find on the shelves today?
That’s what we’re going to find out.
We’ll start with Ardbeg 10 and take a journey through three generations:

Then we’ll do exactly the same with Ardbeg Uigeadail:

In other words, it’ll be a little time machine in a whisky glass.
We’ll taste our way through more than 20 years of Ardbeg and discover how two of the distillery’s most iconic whiskies have evolved over time. At the same time, we’ll get a closer look at the style that helped give Ardbeg its legendary reputation.
The evening will, of course, be hosted by Dennis Olsen, who has a special fondness for Islay and has taken us on several whisky journeys before. And when it comes to Ardbeg, we can safely say he’s right at home.
