Historie

Lost Loch Spirits is owned and run by Pete Dignan & Rich Pierce. The plan for the distillery came about during a late-night drinking break, and the distillery sits in the heart of Royal Deeside, about 30 miles west of Aberdeen, on the shores of Loch Auchlossan, also known as Lost Loch. The landscape and history of the area become part of the story, the flavor, and the branding. They also speak of a modern revival of artisanal distilling on Royal Deeside.

Production is conducted with a small-batch mentality and an honest, transparent approach. They use only natural ingredients and source locally whenever possible, and there is an emphasis on environmental considerations through a combination of solar installations, a biomass boiler, and a wind turbine to drive part of the process. Spirits School tickets cost around £99 per person, and there is an option to obtain a gift voucher and pair groups to run the experience for fewer participants. The minimum number of participants to run Spirits School is four people.
