History

• Newcastle Distilling Company is a small-batch distillery that delivers unique, aromatic flavor experiences. History and founder

• Lucas Cattell, Master Distiller/Head Honcho, began distilling at 18; found a job for $20 at a garage sale. After an unpaid internship where gin was learned, he moved to Cooma in 2014, opened Catcher & Co, and in 2018 moved to Newcastle to rebrand Newcastle Distilling Company. In 2020 The Newcastle Distilling Co. Venue and Cellar Door opened in Pokolbin; in 2022 he opened the Warners Bay bottle shop and a microbrewing laboratory. The next milestone is the launch of Newcastle Brewing & Distilling Company beer with a move to Wickham; publicly opened expected to open in mid-2023.
