History

Since its establishment in 2014, MurLarkey has positioned itself as an experimenting craft distillery with a strong emphasis on guest experiences and product innovation. The brand has developed series such as Birthright with single-barrel releases and VIP barrel picks, Brutality as serial cask releases, and special expressions under Heritage and award-winning Three Tea. Raw Materials and Production

Maturation and Barrel Types

Maturation at MurLarkey ranges from single-barrel aging to serial cask releases and finish finishes. Heritage Barrel Aged Whiskey is documented as wine cask finished and certain releases are marketed as non-chill filtered. The Brutality series publishes individual cask numbers, and single-barrel releases are used both for club picks and the shop’s selection.

The portfolio includes Birthright bourbons with single-barrel and barrel-pick releases, Brutality cask releases, Heritage Barrel Aged Whiskey, as well as flavor-specific products like Cincerity (formerly Cinnamon® Whiskey) and Three Tea Whiskey. General Flavor Profile

The portfolio ranges from spicy, cinnamon-based expressions to tea/herb-infused whiskies and wine-finished influences on certain releases.

Fruitiness is indicated by wine-barrel finishes, implying a wine/fruit influence on certain releases. Spices are described as cinnamon and hot/spicy notes (Cincerity / formerly Cinnamon® Whiskey).

Visit the Distillery

MurLarkey welcomes guided tastings and experiences in the Boozetique at 9861 Discovery Blvd., Manassas. Signature Reserve Tasting is roughly a 60-minute, paid experience with six pours (four core expressions, one rotating Reserve, and one extra Premium Reserve), five mini-cocktails, and a detailed walkthrough of mash bill and craftsmanship. Experiences are offered on select dates; guests must be 21+ with valid ID, and private/semi-private bookings are available.

The stated hours are Boozetique: Wednesday 12-7, Thursday 12-8, Friday-Saturday 12-9, Sunday 12-6. Experiences: Friday-Saturday 1-8, Sunday 1-6. Monday-Tuesday closed.

MurLarkey highlights the use of all-natural ingredients with no artificial additives, local sourcing of Virginia grains and corn, and certified gluten-free products for select expressions.
