3BR Distillery is a craft spirits distillery in Keyport, NJ with a Soviet-punk tasting room. They produce spirits on site and serve cocktails in a kitschy tasting room inspired by Slavic ingredients. They have releases of more than 40 different spirits and liqueurs since opening, and describe themselves as the world's first producer of 100% pea vodka.

Produktion/Fremstilling

3BR claims to be the world's first producer of 100% pea vodka and has releases in other unique spirits and liqueurs. Their flagship product is a distillate of split peas and is not vodka, but another type of spirit, which honors the company's and grandfather's rebellious spirit. MENDEL vodka is produced 100% from peas. They use a Viking System to produce caustic and sanitizer solely from water and salt and reduce environmental impact by avoiding plastic containers and using a large water reservoir that recirculates water to the condensation system, thereby reducing water consumption by a large amount. Their processes follow a no-waste program where raw materials from production are fully used in cocktails: lime fruits are turned into infusions and peels into garnishes. Limes should be pressed fresh locally, which inspired LIMECELLO lime liqueur. They prioritize local results and sourcing from New Jersey, and they even forage for ingredients like juniper for gin. Waste is recycled or reused; staves from Squarrel are used for smoked cocktails; glass bottles and corks are cleaned and reused, and metal straws are used instead of plastic.
